I enjoy them and they are the only plant I encourage to be eaten. My variegated variety did not last a second season, however, which is unusual. Wintersowed spring of and would you believe they bloomed for me the first year. Lots of Monarch eggs on these already! I have both a yellow and an orange.

On the pictures used to sell these seeds, they show many reds, pinks, whites, yellows, but mostly reds. When I planted them most of them appear to be orange. I bought them from Thompson-Morgan. I already had the orange ones because they grow wild here! Have any of you taken stem cuttings from butterfly weeds?
